I know I've been skewing recent with my match selections lately, but that's what I've been watching, really. I'm so bottled up in the present, which actually isn't a bad place to be with all the good wrestling going on. That being said, there's something about watching stuff from the past that is fascinating, especially when it feels like it is something that could fit into today's wrestling scene. I wrote at length about social implications of this match earlier this week, so I figured I'd actually present it this week. It's amazing how ahead of their time, at least in America (this is probably rudimentary by mid-'90s joshi standards), these two were, and it's a testament to how little Blayze was featured that she wasn't considered peers with Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Vader, and other WWF standouts at the time.
