Paul Bearer's passing this week put some more attention on managers and their role heat mongers for wrestlers who can't quite talk the way needed to get them over. Bearer was one of the best. He was as much a part of Undertaker becoming the phenomenon he has been during his WWF/E run as the man himself. But was he the best? It's hard to argue with Bobby Heenan or Jim Cornette, and that's not even taking into account guys whose careers were long over by the time I (among others) became fans like Lou Albano.
