#2 Daniel Bryan d. #15 Darin Corbin, 63-1 (OUCH!)Alright, moving across the country now, we head to the American Legion in Reseda, CA for our third region. First up, #1 Kevin Steen, here on merits of his ROH and 2CW Championships, will take on at-large bid #16 Courtney Rush. Rush has had an up and down year, but she made an impression on the hearts and minds of SHIMMER fans with her bubbly attitude and massive array of suplexes. Will that be enough to take out the man who has spent the last year making no fewer than three wrestling promotions his personal playground? Second match pits #8 AR Fox against #9 Jimmy Jacobs. Fox burst onto the scene in 2011, and he continued his meteoric rise on the indie scene this past year with amazing matches against all opponents. Would that be enough to take out the sadism and mind-games of the Zombie Princess?
#7 Christopher Daniels d. #10 Eddie Edwards, 52-10
#3 ACH d. #14 Mark Briscoe, 46-10
#6 Bully Ray d. #11 Eric Ryan, 56-7
Next up, #4 Big Show takes on an old foe in #13 Kane. Big Show spent a lot of time in the last year as the World's Largest Rebellious Teenager, but in that time, it netted him a long reign with the Big Gold Belt. Kane is a partner and opponent he knows well, so is an upset brewing in favor of the co-Tag Team Champion? Finally, #5 Jeff Hardy, who was the TNA World Champion at the time of selection, does battle with #12 Mark Henry, a staff choice who won a play-in match over Tucor to get here. Henry may have been due for a high seed if he had stayed healthy over the last year, but he was granted a chance to bring the Hall of Pain anyway. Is Hardy just an unfortunate victim, or will he find a way to pull the decision out?
