Together or apart, you have to believe in The Shield Photo Credit: WWE.com |
That night ended one of the greatest factions ever to step in the ring but it also produced three new and interesting sides to Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns. The lunacy of Dean Ambrose, not willing to forgive his so called friend’s back stab - he comes off as a lunatic. He has a new tune and new ring attire. He now dons jeans and a tank top. He comes across being very blue collar, a cross between Roddy Piper and Brian Pillman in the crazy department. Most importantly, he is pulling it off. Ambrose gets beat down but comes back with “Is that all that you got?” He fights hard and has won over the WWE Universe. He’s a likable character and a downright brawler. His matches are entertaining and his feud with Rollins is far from over, it is just heating up.
Seth Rollins plays such a great heel. His new tune and ring attire are futuristic. It almost has that Mass Effect feel to it. I'm half expecting Seth Rollins to break out saying, “I’m Commander Seth Rollins and the WWE Store is my favorite place to shop on the Citadel.” This is in no way a jab to Rollins. His high flying acrobatic plunges give that gaming feel when he dives off balconies or the TitanTron. He could very well be a gamer hero. He's is calculating, energized, very ambitious, and great all around performer, which makes him heelerific.
The Roman Reigns Empire is newly formed and dominating the WWE Universe. Reigns is massive and powerful. He's is Superman like with his arsenal of the titular punch, the leaping clothesline, his moment of silence, and his finisher, the spear. He is cocked and loaded and very explosive in the ring. Outside the ring he captured the hearts of many with his commercial for the “Be a Dad” Campaign. Reigns playing with his daughter and singing “I’m a little teapot” hits a home run. The WWE Universe cannot seem to get enough of Roman Reigns and his empire will continue to grow.
Like them or not, as the Shield or separate, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns have staying power. They dominate, electrify, and most importantly, they entertain. They tell their stories well and because of these three guys, the future of the WWE will continue to shine.
