The latest big class of signees at the Performance Center contained a good amount of wrestlers, but the headliners clearly were Uhaa Nation and Jessie McKay. Nation's already on the fast track to television, and now, McKay got the spotlight interview treatment on Dot Com. The interview really isn't much in the way of insight; it was littered with mostly boilerplate questions that could have been asked of any incoming wrestler of note. But the fact that she's gotten press feels huge.
I wouldn't be surprised if she got fast-tracked to television as well, to be honest. Charlotte is only biding her time before she gets to the main roster, and both Dana Brooke and Alexa Bliss feel like they need to have a lot of time to season before they get to a level where feuding with Sasha Banks or Bayley for the Women's Title is a viable option. Additionally, the tag division is pretty weak, and with the injuries on top with the men, NXT could become more and more a showcase for women. McKay has the upper hand of having worked for SHIMMER and other promotions extensively. Either way though, it's exciting that WWE is using its whole presence to help along the NXT brand and its individual wrestlers. More and more, television is becoming only a fractional part of the narrative. The Dot Com is where it's at.
