Moose back in ROH, yo Photo Credit: Scott Finkelstein |
The most in-demand wrestler not currently in WWE is Quinn Ojinnaka, better known to the populace as Moose. He's been a regular for Ring of Honor for more than a year, but he's had dates in the TNA to ROH's WWE, EVOLVE, as well as being linked to Global Force Wrestling. He was also in demand from WWE officials to join the NXT family. Questions had arisen about his status with ROH when the GFW announcement came up, and well, officials with the company answered them with a new contract that was finalized during the Global Wars shows in Toronto. Not coincidentally, Moose was announced for the number one contendership three-way match at Best in the World on June 19 against Roderick Strong and Michael Elgin.
Of course, the contract signing doesn't necessarily preclude him from appearing for GFW, although I doubt now that he will appear on the promotion's televised programming. A lot of the talent announced for the new promotion has been rumored to be for the house shows only, and ROH talent are free to work for any company as long as the events are not going to be on their free television shows. Honestly, with GFW not even having a television outlet yet, reupping with ROH is a safe move.
In other GFW news, Chris Sabin has appeared on the roster page, and Scott Steiner was announced as joining the force. Both have connections with Jarrett from the past. Sabin has been a longtime TNA employee, and Steiner and Jarrett have actually been good friends since the '90s. Both are solid hires, even if they're just for the house show circuit.
