Chrisjen Hayme Is Entrant 14 in the Scenic City Invitational

The 14th name for the Scenic City Invitational tournament, happening at the Empire Arena in Rossville, GA on August 8 and 9, was announced Monday, and he's a veteran of the indie scene overall. Chrisjen Hayme is known to wrestlers who follow the Southern promotions, but he's broken out into other territories as well. He's best known in the Northeast for his dalliances in Combat Zone Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and Chikara, but those appearances comprised to make the tip of his career iceberg. He's a much more accomplished, talented wrestler than he's been allowed to show up north, and so he makes a sensible addition to the fray.

Hayme's announcement leaves two more spots open. I would have been confident saying Kyle Matthews is definitely in one of them, but at this point, I'm not so sure. If Matthews is one of the last two in, then the SCI will be even more must-attend/watch than it was before, because for my money, he's maybe the best guy who works primarily in Dixie available right now. But I've also heard several other names that could be bandied about, from local guys like Cyrus the Destroyer to wrestlers who've broken out huge in the indies like Jonathan Gresham.
