Hot Trios Action in Florida This Weekend

Full Impact Pro, the oldest, most prominent indie promotion in Florida and a subsidiary of the WWN Live Network, will be running the Fallout 2015 Six-Man Tag Team Tournament tonight and tomorrow night in Ybor City. While nothing in the States will touch King of Trios in terms of prestige and hype right now, any tournament that brings together trios for some rowdy six-man action is alright by me. Last year's winners, the Submission Squad of Evan Gelistico, Pierre Abernathy, and Gary Jay, will return, but this year's tournament isn't just a collection of threesomes from FIP. The promotion has invited trios from companies all around the country to compete. The bracket is below:


The Submission Squad is represented as Team FIP. Outside of the Viking War Party, which is a trio of berserker-themed wrestlers that travels the Midwest and Mid-South regions, every team represents a promotion. Some of the names won't be familiar, but others will definitely ring several bells. For example, Team Inspire Pro contains the fourth Submission Squad member "Bleeding Heart" Davey Vega, former J*Crown Champion Steve-O Reno, and the Heaviest Sumo in the Land Jojo Bravo. Team Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment contains veteran and resurgent Jimmy Rave. Team PWX is riding with Corey Hollis (who is receiving a WWE tryout). Reed Bentley reps Team IWA Mid-South. Team Outlaw Wrestling has the Brothers Cutter, better known as the Hooligans. Fans of Beyond Wrestling will recognize Black Baron on Team WWA4. And people who tuned into the EVOLVE shows this weekend and were impressed with Peter Kaasa will be pleased to know he's in the fray as a member of Team I Believe in Wrestling.

Even if none of those names ring a bell, it's a trios tournament. Six-man tag matches can be incredible even with a high margin for error, and the amount of names packed into this tournament make it a prospective view for the curious wrestling fan.
