You know what's really funny and weird?

Guys who don't usually win matches breaking out in a finisher train.

That's the point of Main Event, however: shine for the undercard, who can flourish in the sunlight if they're remembered to be given water to.  So the Usos hit nice superkicks, Heath stole Edge's Impaler, Drew kicked an Usos very, very hard in the head, and Justin Gabriel hit a nice around-the-world DDT leading to the conclusion seen above.  And I found out Heath has a very nice leg lariat that may become a signature if he gets to hit it more than annually. All that noted, however, if JBL's appellation of the former Corre member DAREWOLF catches on--well, it's either going to be horrible or awesome.  I really don't see a middle ground when you're combining daredevil and werewolf into a nickname Poochie might've just barely triumphed over.  Is Justin-Michael Gabriel an awesome name or a horrible name?  Do I get to yell GET TO DA CHOPPA as he climbs up for his finisher?  Are we ever going to get to the fireworks factory!?

Well, Randy Orton snapped off an RKO on Antonio Cesaro in the opener and came out to his nu-metal original version of his theme instead of the mad awesome Sandow remix.  So I guess not.

It's not like the outcome of this was in doubt; Cesaro's been the Generals to Orton's Globetrotters all year.   It's just depressing for the Sandow acolytes and fellow thinkers of my brain and those like it; maybe even JBL, who noted "As a wrestling purist, you have to love Antonio Cesaro."  It'd be nice if he did things like win more than a match over Zach Ryder in the past 3 months.  What Cesaro brings to the table is a sense of realism mixed with a grasp of the little things - small wonder Master Regal's such a fan.  You get fun things like a back bridge out of a garden variety headscissors, avalanche European uppercuts, and the Cesaro Lift that's quickly becoming the highlight of my week.  Unless that tilt-a-whirl into the Cesaro Driver (hey, you try naming a psuedoMichinoku) is the latest addition to his Wednesday night specials, in which case that ENZUI European uppercut needs to get in there as well.  And watching him hit We Will Never Call This Swiss Death a few beats after a hilarious European uppercut tradeoff was kind of like comparing Sarah Shahi and Sarah Jessica Parker in a bikini contest.

But the crowd loved Randy Orton and they really loved the flash RKO. So bully for them.

When your match notes in both cases end with a simple "Yup.", that sums it all up.
