The New York Times published this profile of Dave Meltzer today. Most of you guys know that I don't like the man or his work, but it's important to read things like this. If you're a fan, it's a great look into his life. If you're not, well, know your enemy. Personally, I think it's too gushing (and Frank Deford is full of shit), but hey, mainstream media protects mainstream media and so forth. It also has a GLARING error in attributing Bret Hart's hometown to Montreal. However, the highlight of the article for me? LOOK AT HIS FUCKING COMPUTER MONITOR. That is some prehistoric stuff right there. Maybe he doesn't make as much money as we all think he does, because if he did, you might think he'd get one of those extra-wide, extra thin plasma monitors. Christ.
