If you notice on the right side of the Chikara events page linked above, every event from next month's Easton/Manhattan double shot through the final 2013 date has been cancelled. As it turns out, Wink Vavasseur's paramilitary takeover of Chikara wasn't to purge it of the insubordinate, it was to seemingly close it. That bastard!
To step out of kayfabe just for a second, you guys realize there is no way the final tale being told by Chikara would be that ending last night, right? Even if there's never a show under the promotional name "Chikara" again, the Wrestling Is promotions are pretty much Chikara. I mean, Wrestling Is Cool, Heart, Intense, Kaiju Big Battel, Art, Respect, Awesome, and Fun!? That's a clever way of hiding the true identity there. Whether it's a story diversion or a giant rebrand, don't worry. Chikara is not going away.
