Episode 101: Chikara Magnet
Danielle Matheson, both of here and The Mandible Claw, returns to the show, because of course, she HAD to after the events of Sunday's Aniversario: Never Compromise event. We start at the end with the invasion of the main event by Condor Security. We debate whether it's the best show, and then go into possibilities about the picture Derek Sabato tweeted. Danielle admits she's "speculated out" because of all the intense theorizing that was done leading up to the event. We unpack the entire card and talk about the things we enjoyed on the show, including Tim Donst, the Sarcophagus match's psychology, how this was the first time that an Eddie Kingston Grand Championship defense resonated emotionally, and how Jakob Hammermeier finally grew up. Towards the end, Dani implored everyone to continue to support independent wrestling, no matter what the reactions to the end of the Chikara show were.
