Hey yo! Friday has arrived, and all the cool kids are going to see wrestling shows! Don't you want to be a cool kid this weekend? Then go see a show! I will be previewing a few here, but if you don't find a show in your area below, you can always go to Pro Wrestling Events and get your live event hookup there.

AAW leads off with a charity show tonight benefiting the Jimmy Durante Children's Fund. If you can't make it out to Berwyn for the show, then check out the Fraternal Order of Eagles site for information on how you can help this charity that helps children who are victims of disease or abuse. The doors at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL, open at 7PM local time. No matches have been announced, but the list of talent includes Keith Walker, Lamar Titan, Dan Lawrence, Da Soul Touchaz, Angelus Layne, Christian Rose, Matt Cage, and many more.

Down in Georgia, Deep Southern Championship Wrestling vacates their normal Saturday show date for Friday and Sunday this weekend. Tonight's show will be at the DSCW Arena in Blue Ridge, GA, with a door open time of 7PM local. In the main event, Kyle Matthews will defend his AIWF Championship against Chip Hazard. Also appearing on this show will be Cyrus the Destroyer, Drew Delight, and KT Hamill. Sunday's show will take place at Rose Auto Accessories in Blairsville, GA. The show starts at 3PM, and it is an outdoor event where you bring your own chair. Hazard, among others, will be appearing at this show as well.

Saturday, we head up into Canada for Ring of Honor action. The company will present All-Star Extravaganza 5 at 7:30PM local time at the Mattemy Athletic Center in Toronto, ON. There will be six first-round matches in the ROH World Championship tournament: Kevin Steen vs. Brian Kendrick, Paul London vs. Michael Elgin, Roderick Strong vs. Matt Taven, Michael Bennett vs. BJ Whitmer, Tomasso Ciampa vs. Silas Young, and Adam Cole vs. Jay Lethal. Those six matches form a pretty strong slate. Also on the show, the newly-crowned Tag Team Champions, Forever Hooligans (Rocky Romero and Alex Koslov) will defend against the American Wolves, Kushida goes against Adam Page, and the Young Bucks, Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander, and ACH and Tadarius Thomas will clash in a three-way tag match.

This weekend, Wrestling Is Awesome returns for a double shot in Northern New England. They are also crowning a Champion, and the first round of their 16-man tournament will play out over two days in Maine and New Hampshire. Saturday, at the Fairfield Community Center in Fairfield, ME, doors will open at 6:30PM local time. The tournament matches slated for that card are as follows: Jivin' Jimmy vs. Francis O'Rourke, Shane "Jagged" Parker vs. Jaka, Tommy Mack vs. Kobold, and "Big Magic" Shane Matthews vs. Oleg the Usurper. Also on the show, Chuck Taylor, the Estonian Thunder Frog, Green Ant, and Max Smashmaster will compete in four-way action, while Jervis Cottonbelly battles Juan Francisco de Coronado.

Sunday, they will touch down at the Rochester American Legion in Rochester, NH for a 2:30PM local door open time. The tournament matches here are: Dalton Castle vs. Taylor, Green Ant vs. Flex Rumblecrunch, de Coronado vs. Thunder Frog, and Cottonbelly vs. Smashmaster. Filling out this show, Kobold battles Jivin' Jimmy and 3.0 will take on the team of Jaka and Oleg the Usurper.

Saturday down in North Cackalacky, CWF Mid-Atlantic will be bringing you live action with Can't Hardly Wait. The doors open on the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium in Burlington, NC, at 7PM local time. The Weaver Cup plugs on with two more first round matches. First, Aric Andrews battles Lee Valiant, and in the other contest, Champion Arik Royal battles Chet Sterling. Also on this show will be Chip Day, Andrew Everett, Ric Converse, Matty DeNero, Trevor Lee, and more.

If it's Saturday in Georgia, then there's wrestling going on. Empire Pro Wrestling will be putting on a supershow Saturday, Crazy from the Heat. The Empire Arena in Rossville, GA, will sizzle at 8:05PM with a War Games main event pitting the Illuminati against the Devil's Rejects. Also appearing on this show will be Shaun Tempers and Ace Rockwell.

The Main Event in Porterdale, GA, plays host to Platinum Championship Wrestling at 6PM on Saturday. "Dynomite Soul" Eric Walker was able to keep from getting swept in his best of seven series against Fred Yehi last time they met. Can he stave off elimination further? Also on the show, there will be tag league action.

Sunday, Vanguard Wrestling All-Star Alliance will kick off their VWAA Championship tournament at Make Yourself. The Addison Community Center in Addison, IL will play host to this. Bell rings at 4PM local. In addition to the tournament, which features Arik Cannon, Tripp Cassidy will defend his Circuit Championship against Thomas Sinclair.

Prime Wrestling presents their Wrestlution Prelude on Sunday at 3PM at the Ohio Net Sports Complex in Parma. Krimson will defend his Prime Championship against Bobby Beverly, Johnny Gargano goes up against Jimmy Jacobs, and Matt Cross battles Bobby Shields. Also appearing on the show will be Marion Fontaine, Rickey Shane Page, Gregory Iron, and Zach Gowen.

Finally, in Montreal, QC, BATTLEWAR will run its 11th event from Les Foufounes Electriques. Doors open at 7PM. "Speedball" Mike Bailey will take on the loudmouthed "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti. Player Uno will take on Drew Gulak, while the saga of Giant Tiger's stolen barbecue grill will continue to play out.

Again, this is only a sampling of shows that are happening this weekend. Check out Pro Wrestling Events and continue supporting the art of wrestling. Again, you never know if your favorite promotion or wrestler is out there and you just haven't found them out yet.
