If you've been wondering where Sheamus has been the last couple of weeks, well, he's been legitimately injured. He tore his left labrum at Money in the Bank, most likely on the spot where Daniel Bryan threw him through the ladder altar that Sheamus himself set up. While the leg bruise was the visible battle wound, Sheamus claims that when that started to heal up, he noticed that pain in his shoulder accompanied by a shrinking range of motion.
While his character has become the poster child for odious WWE babyface behavior, his in-ring hossdom will be missed severely. Sheamus has been one of the most reliable hands on the roster in the ring. I ranked him #2 on my TWB 100 ballot last year in part because he'd wrestle at least once a week in solid matches against a varying range of foes. Luckily, the roster is stronger now than it has ever been, but that doesn't mean WWE won't miss him. Hopefully, he recovers fully.
