The weekend is here, the weekend is here, time to relax, time for cheer. Most importantly, the time for wrestling has arrived. So many shows happen this weekend, and you can check out which ones are coming to an arena near you at Pro Wrestling Events. For the most notable shows of the weekend though, please consult my guide below.

FRIDAY

IWA Mid-South's Big Ass Christmas Bash happens tonight at the Colgate Gym in Clarksville, IN at 7:35 AM. Chris Hero returns to the place where he first rose to prominence by taking on Trik Davis. In what should be a barnburner of a contest, Ricochet battles Jonathan Gresham, while Drake Younger heads back east to take on Christian Rose. Jimmy Jacobs takes on Reed Bentley in a first blood match. Also appearing on the show will be ThunderKitty, Necro Butcher, Tripp Cassidy, Chris Hamrick, Devon Moore, Shane Hollister, Chrisjen Hayme, and Matt Cage.

St. Louis Anarchy's annual Yuletide Terror will come live from the Knights of Columbus in Alton, IL. Doors open at 6:15 PM local time, and draft beer only costs a dollar. Things might just get rowdy, especially for the main event, which features Gerald James (Gary Jay) defending the St. Louis Anarchy Championship against Mat Fitchett in a match that has been brewing with hate for over two years across two promotions. The culmination of the ACH/Davey Vega best of three series will also take place. You're gonna wanna get a front row seat for that match. The series is tied 1-1. Kyle O'Reilly will clash with Johnny Gargano, Dingo tangles with the Heaviest Sumo in the Land, Jojo Bravo, Dan Walsh and Jeremy Wyatt will try to take down the Hooligans, and Bolt Brady will tangle with a debuting Arya Daivari. Also appearing at this show will be Darin Childs, Angelus Layne, Evan Gelistico, Ricky Starks, and former Champion Darin Corbin.

Full Impact Pro will be In Full Force tonight at the Downtown Recreation Complex in Orlando, FL. If you're in the area and want to go live, head on over for a 8 PM local belltime. If you want to watch and you're not in the area, the event is live on WWN Live Internet pay-per-view for a 8 PM Eastern Standard Time start. The big double main event features Roderick Strong against Rich Swann in a dream match, and Trent? defending his FIP Championship against Lince Dorado. The Washington Bullets will be in town to take on Andrew Everett and Caleb Konley, and Jessicka Havok will do battle with Mia Yim in a SHINE showcase match. The Bravado Bros., Pinkie Sanchez, Maxwell Chicago, and David Starr will also appear.

HoodSlam's Non-Denominational Winter Season Celebrational Festivity... OF DOOM will take place at the Oakland Metro Operahouse in Oakland, CA. Show starts at 8:30 PM local time, and it is a 21 and older show.

SATURDAY

CWF Mid-Atlantic is on The Road to Battlecade at the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium in Gibsonville, NC, with the doors opening at 7 PM local time. Trevor Lee will battle Aaron Biggs in the main event grudge match, while Arik Royal and Matty DeNero will also make appearances.

Dreamwave Wrestling will continue the run of holiday themed shows with The Fight Before Christmas at the Knights of Columbus in LaSalle, IL, with a door-open time of 6:30 PM. Chris Hero's welcome-back tour will put Prince Mustafa Ali in his path, while Christian Rose defends his Dreamwave Championship against Shane Hollister. Marshe Rockett will defend his Alternative Wrestling Championship against Reed Bentley. Matt Cage, Ricochet, Gangrel, Darin Corbin, and Arik Cannon will also appear.

FIP is back again Saturday with Violence Is the Answer at the Orpheum in Ybor City, FL. You can be there in person at 7 PM, or again order on iPPV at the same time, Eastern Standard, of course. The main event pits the Tag Team Champions the Bravado Bros. against Los Ben Dejos in a Ybor City Street Fight. Anything goes. Roderick Strong takes his Florida excursion to the next level against Andrew Everett, and Rich Swann battles Caleb Konley. In another SHINE showcase, Jessicka Havok, Leva Bates, and Su Yung will clash in a three-way match, while the Washington Bullets, Pinkie Sanchez, Lince Dorado, and Maxwell Chicago are all also scheduled for appearances.

Deep Southern Championship Wrestling will be holding a pro wrestling fundraiser for the Fannin County Empty Stocking. Head over to the DSCW Arena in Blue Ridge, GA for a door open time of 7 PM local, and help raise money for kids without toys.

Empire Pro Wrestling will kick off a huge event at 8:05 PM local time at the Empire Arena in Rossville, GA. Shaun Tempers will defend the Empire Championship against a returning KT Hamill, and Kyle Matthews will make his long-awaited return to the Empire Arena.

SUNDAY

Wrestling Is Cool will be Best Served Cold at Studio A in Philadelphia, PA, their City of Brotherly Love debut. The doors open at 2:30 PM local time. The Colony's yearlong war against the Devastation Corporation will have one last 2013 battle in the main event of this show. Drew Gulak will welcome Mark Angelosetti in battle, while Frightmare has the tall task of Frank "Don't Call Me Francis" O'Rourke. Eric Corvis battles Chuck Taylor, while Jervis Cottonbelly will try to teach Jaka some manners. Oh, and Ares will show up at the end with the backing of the BDK in an attempt to close the company.

BattleWar 15 will close out the weekend by crowning their first ever Champion. Head on over to Les Foufounes Electriques in Montreal, QC for an 8 PM local bell time. The main event is a Championship scramble to crown the first ever titleholder. Player Uno, Speedball Mike Bailey, Big Bad Quentin, Shayne Hawk, Dirty Buxx Belmar, and Giant Tiger will all compete for the opportunity to hold the belt. Also appearing on the show will be 3.0, Le Tabarnak de Team, Vanessa Kraven, and many more.

Again, the above list is only a sampling of the myriad shows going on this weekend. Even if you don't see a show described up above, take a chance and go to one in your area. You never know; your favorite wrestler or promotion may be out there. You just don't know it yet.
