Kalamity, LuFisto's most prodigious student and rising star within the North American independent women's wrestling scene, is stepping away from wrestling for an indefinite period of time. LuFisto herself broke the news on her behalf, noting that she's not stepping away for sickness or injury, but for something "really personal."
As if this week hasn't been trying enough, to lose a promising young wrestler for whatever reason is another gut punch. I've grown to be a huge fan of Kalamity, especially in SHIMMER tagging with Hailey Hatred. I wish her best in whatever she's leaving the biz to do, and if she comes back, I know I'll welcome her back with open arms.
