Well, the weekend's upon us again, and that means it's time for wrestling. I'm going to be running down a whole bunch of cards here, but if you want to go see 'rasslin, and you don't find what you're looking for here, check out the Pro Wrestling Events page. Even if they don't have descriptions there, it's a great resource for you to find out at least where the shows are happening. Plus, if I hadn't been using that site to give me the heads up on what shows were running where, I'd never have picked up on a promotion named TAP running a show at the Old Cheese Factory in Tennesee. That is the greatest wrestling venue name I have ever read in my entire life.

But not all the wrestling is based on cool building names. We start off in Canada, where Smash Wrestling will be presenting a two-night Western Warfare event that will feature some heavy hitters. Tonight's card happens at the Malahide Community Center in Malahide, ON with a 7 PM bell time. On this show, Tyson Dux will battle Gregory Iron, Aeroform will go up against the duo of Josh Alexander and Sebastian Suave, and Seleziya Sparx will wrestle Leah von Dutch. Tomorrow, the action moves to Davidson Center Hall in Kincardine, ON, where doors will open at 4:30 PM. Sparx and von Dutch will have a rematch from the night before, Alexander will battle Matt "M-Dogg 20" Cross, and there'll be four way action with Iron, Brandon Banks, Alex Vega, and Louis Lyndon.

Ring of Honor will head on into Buckeye Country as they move into the Ohio Building at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus on Saturday. The doors will open at 6:15 PM for a special meet and greet with Steve Corino and Matt Hardy. Headlining the show will be Jay Briscoe defending his ROH World Championship against Eddie Edwards in his last stop before the climactic showdown with brother Mark happens at Best in the World. Speaking of the younger Briscoe, he'll be in action against Hardy. There'll also be a proving ground match where ACH and Tadarius Thomas will get a chance to earn a future shot at the ROH Tag Team Champions by facing off against them. If they can beat or go the distance with Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish, they've got a shot. Finally, Kevin Steen and Rhino will do battle in a grudge match.

Combat Zone Wrestling will be running their annual Tournament of Death Saturday at the Ultraviolent Underground in Townsend, DE. The doors open at 1:30 PM. The participants in this year's tourney, which will consist of all gimmick matches, will be Masada, DJ Hyde, Scotty Vortekz, Ron Mathis, Lucky 13, Takumi Tsukamoto, Danny Havoc, and Rory Mondo. There'll be a "Fans Bring the Weapons" match taking place sometime during the fray, so make sure you bring your PLUNDAH if you decide to go. Also on the show, Drake Younger battles Devon Moore, and Sami Callihan will make his final CZW appearance ever.

Pro Wrestling Syndicate will be running their Six Year Anniversary show at the Sports Center in Monroe, NJ. Doors open at 7 PM with autograph signings before a bell-time of 9 PM gets under way. The show will feature appearances from Dusty Rhodes, Shelton Benjamin, Ron Simmons, Shelly Martinez, New Jack, and Stan CONSARN Hansen. Wrestling-wise, Kevin Matthews defends the PWS Championship against Anthony Nese, Colt Cabana goes one on one with Disco Inferno, and La Rosa Negra defends her Bombshells Championship against Angelina Love.

Up in Port Coquitlam, BC, Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling will be promoting the Quest for Gold, tomorrow night live at 8 PM, at the Russian Community Center. The show is headlined by a big four way elimination match for the Canadian Championship, Scotty Mac taking on Andy "The Dreadful" Bird, Randy Myers, and El Phantasmo. The Bollywood Boyz defend their Tag Team Championships as well, and Nicole Matthews will put her Women's Championship on the line against KC Spinelli.

Finally, we end down in Georgia with two shows for the great fans in the Peach State tomorrow night. Anarchy Wrestling heads up the Anarchy Arena in Cornelia, GA at 8 PM. The show will be headlined by Gunner making his return to the Anarchy Arena, and he'll team with Stephen Walters against the team of Alabama Attitude, Mike Posey and Corey Hollis. Also appearing on the show will be the Movement, Shaun Tempers, and Bobby Moore. Finally, at the DSCW Arena in Blue Ridge, GA, Deep Southern Championship Wrestling will present their latest show at 8 PM. Kyle Matthews will appear against Shane Marx. Also on the show will be Cyrus the Destroyer.

Again, there's a ton of great wrestling out there all around the world even. Check and see what shows are in your area and see if you can't help grow and support the art of wrestling!
