Okay, so I've taken two weeks off from podcasting. Last week, I couldn't get to a reliable recording source, and this week, I just didn't feel like recording and editing and posting and all that other jazz. However, my lack of content does not portend a vacuum of quality wrestling audio for the folks out there to listen to. Obviously, I've talked up the Wrestling Culture podcast before, and even though they haven't written here for a good long time, both Danielle and Brandon are considered to me as part of the TWB family. Their respective latest podcast episodes are required listening for you this week for totally different reasons.

First, The Mandible Claw Episode 13 featured Danielle and Brandon recount the week that the former spent with the latter going to wrestling shows associated with New Japan Pro Wrestling's tour through the NWA's Central Texas strongholds. The show features a lot of discussion about the NWA Houston, Branded Outlaw Wrestling, and Anarchy Championship Wrestling shows between October 18-20, but furthermore, it was about the shared experience of going to wrestling shows with friends and acquaintances.

Second, on the latest Wrestling Culture Podcast (Episode 51), Dylan Hales and Dave Musgrave go into the results of the latest Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame results and inductions. While I still have my criticisms of any hall of fame in general, Dylan and Dave discuss the results in a way that will illuminate why any curation of history like the WO Hall is important and necessary. Dylan also uncorks a rant about Hiroshi Tanahashi which needs to be listened to by everyone.

For existing as long as it has, the wrestling media is still has so much room in which it can grow, and supporting podcasts like The Mandible Claw and Wrestling Culture means supporting different voices positing different points of view and spurring discussion. Take some time to download and listen to these two shows, because I think you guys will enjoy them for various reasons.
